Connecting HubSpot to Databox Helps Keep Your Marketing Efforts Organized

Connecting HubSpot to Databox | ProFromGo Internet Marketing

Over the past several weeks, the ProFromGo team has talked a lot about the different ways HubSpot helps you keep your marketing efforts organized. But who organizes the organizer? Any good marketing pro knows all of those efforts lead to a whole lot of metrics that need to be analyzed and shared with stakeholders. For ProFromGo, connecting HubSpot to Databox helps us make sense of all of those metrics, create meaningful reports and demonstrate the success of our internal marketing and sales efforts as well as the work we do for our clients.

If you’re unfamiliar with Databox, now’s a great time to get acquainted. Simply put, Databox is a business analytics super tool that allows you to connect a seemingly infinite number of data sources and present them in easy-to-create dashes, or databoards. These totally customizable databoards can help your organization track and analyze the metrics that matter most to you.

How Connecting HubSpot to Databox Helps Your Marketing Efforts

Seasoned users of the platform are probably well aware that you can create reports right inside HubSpot. You can download and share the reports with whomever you’d like. So, why is connecting HubSpot to Databox all that important? Seems a little redundant, doesn’t it?

It might feel that way, but as I’ll explain, there are a whole lot of benefits to taking your HubSpot metrics into a single source and arranging them to tell a good marketing success story. Furthermore, Databox updates your metrics in real time. That means all you have to do to get your up-to-the-hour results is simply click on your databoards permalink.

But the biggest reason I love having my HubSpot metrics in Databox is because they can live right alongside all of my other favorite metrics from other sources such as Google Analytics, Teamwork, Social Media, etc. I don’t have to visit every individual platform every time I want to pull metrics or create a report. Through an automated email I get once a month or the databoard links I keep bookmarked, I don’t even have to spend time navigating the platform. The metrics are just there waiting for me when I need them.

ProFromGo uses Databox for a host of internal metrics, but we also create custom boards for most of our clients. Like I mentioned above, I can connect our clients’ HubSpot accounts and automate a report to land in their inbox every week or month so they’re constantly able to track our joint marketing efforts.

The bottom line: Connecting HubSpot to Databox helps you, your internal stakeholders and your clients maintain transparency and keep everyone working toward bettering your marketing efforts.

What HubSpot Metrics Can I See in Databox?

In short, all of ‘em. Databox offers two separate HubSpot connections—one for HubSpot Marketing and another for HubSpot Sales/CRM. You can connect one or the other or both and even loop your databoards to tell one complete HubSpot story. Let’s take a closer look at how you can realize the full potential of your analytics efforts by connecting HubSpot to Databox.

HubSpot Sales/CRM in Databox

Want to know what your pipeline looks like? How about your sales reps’ individual performance? Connecting your HubSpot Sales/CRM in Databox means you have instant access to the information that matters most to you, your stakeholders and/or your clients. Here are few more databoards you can create:

  • An overall sales overview
  • Recent sales activity
  • KPIs
  • Deals by stage

You can even loop your databoards into a single carousel, meaning all of your key metrics are just a click away. Look for a more executive approach? Add multiple metrics to the same databoard for a complete summary of all of your HubSpot sales activities.

HubSpot Marketing in Databox

Just like sales, Databox can connect right to your HubSpot marketing efforts. As many of us know, the HubSpot marketing platform is robust to say the least. From email campaigns to social media to blog traffic to lead capture, there are tons of metrics floating around on HubSpot. Again, by creating databoards with metrics that matter the most, you can scroll through all of your key information in one spot.

Setting Up HubSpot Databoards

Want to take Databox for a spin? It’s easy! With a few quick clicks, you can begin tracking all of the metrics you need to. Once you’ve connected Hubspot Sales/CRM and HubSpot marketing to Databox, you’re ready to start adding in your metrics.

Databox offers plenty of templates to help get you started. Some come right from Databox while others are open-sourced templates from other users. No matter what template you choose, you can still add and delete various metrics to customize your boards.

Or maybe you know exactly what you need. Databox also lets you start completely from scratch. Every connection comes with its own “Data Library,” a catalogue of various metrics you can drag and drop right into your board. Once you get the hang of it, it’s actually pretty fun to play around with.

Important Note: Databox only pulls metrics starting from the time you connect HubSpot. Don’t panic if your results from previous time periods aren’t showing up. You may need to give them a week to mature.

Customizing & Sharing HubSpot Databoards

Once you’ve got all of the metrics you need, you can tinker with a number of variables to get the right information presented the right way. Don’t forget, you can always revisit your databoards later on and tinker with them as you receive input from other stakeholders.

Data Presentation

Some metric blocks allow you to alter the way your data is presented—line graphs, tallies, pie charts, etc. You can also select multiple date ranges and easily toggle between them. It’s a great way to compare your weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly results with just a few clicks of your mouse

Databoard Appearance

Now it’s time to add a little wow factor. You can change the background and text color of your boards to align with your own or your clients’ branding. There’s even a little place to customize the title of the board and add company logos. Take my word for it, clients love it.

Sharing HubSpot Databoards

Finally, now that you’ve got your databoards set up, it’s time to start sharing them with the right people. Databox gives you a number of ways to share your metrics with other team members and clients. Every databoard has a unique link you can bookmark and revisit any time you want to view real time data. You can also schedule recurring snapshots to be sent right to anyone’s inbox. Or, if you’re a little more old school, you can download a PDF version of your board for your records.

You can also password protect your databoards or limit access to select users. That way all your proprietary information stays safe and away from prying eyes.

Download the Databox App

C’mon, you think Databox doesn’t have an app? After you’re done connecting HubSpot to Databox, you’ve built the perfect dashboards and you’ve got your sharing options all sorted out, simply download the app and view your metrics on demand from anywhere. The app is super straightforward and lets you select your favorite boards for even faster viewing. It even works on your smartwatch for the ultimate power move.
